The 40th Scientific Assembly of the International Committee on Space Research (COSPAR) went over at MSU with great success is closed now. 2274 scientists from 74 countries took part in it. Over 2000 oral presentations and 7 interdisciplinary lectures were made. The Local Organizing Committee organized two public lectures - by MSU Rector, Academician Viktor Sadovnichy and RAS President, Academician Vladimir Fortov. Several press-conferences were held during the Assembly.
